Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled and driven Data Analyst to support the United States Air Force (USAF). In this critical role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and ontologies that power high-stakes mission assurance efforts. Working in close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders across various government agencies, you’ll leverage advanced tools—particularly Palantir Foundry—to support risk management initiatives that protect national security infrastructure.

You will be tasked with developing, optimizing, and maintaining data workflows and architectures that drive strategic decision-making across the Air Force’s enterprise-level Critical Asset Risk Management (CARM) and Mission Assurance (MA) programs. Your work will directly contribute to identifying and mitigating risks to Task Critical Assets (TCAs) and Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI)—assets essential to the successful execution of U.S. strategic missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and complex ontologies using Palantir Foundry or similar data integration platforms.

  • Work closely with mission analysts and technical stakeholders to model, transform, and align data from diverse sources into meaningful insights.

  • Leverage distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and programming languages (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript) to manage large-scale datasets.

  • Support the design, testing, and deployment of data models that enhance the Air Force’s ability to assess risk and improve mission resilience.

  • Collaborate with cross-agency teams to ensure accurate and secure data integration, meeting mission requirements and security protocols.

  • Assist in the documentation of ontology schemas, data flows, and pipeline logic to ensure maintainability and scalability.

  • Proactively troubleshoot data integrity issues and propose solutions that enhance operational performance and insight generation.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry (or an approved equivalent), including both data engineering and ontology development

  • Deep understanding of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) and experience with Foundry-compatible programming languages:

    • Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript

  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments with multiple external stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills

  • Ability to obtain the Foundry Data Engineer Certification within 90 days
