Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in a float capacity. This role involves traveling between multiple patient service centers and clinical sites within the Cincinnati-Dayton corridor. You’ll be responsible for performing high-volume blood draws and specimen processing, primarily serving geriatric patients.

Mileage reimbursement is provided, and a home base location will be assigned based on proximity.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using straight and butterfly needles
• Collect, label, and process specimens according to established protocols
• Centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens for transport
• Maintain specimen integrity and ensure accurate documentation
• Update patient information and match requisitions to specimen tubes
• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and internal safety standards
• Provide courteous and clear explanations of procedures to patients
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine equipment maintenance
• Answer phone inquiries and relay lab results as needed

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Experience working with geriatric patients is required; pediatric experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record (MVR check required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments
• Comfortable performing 45–50 blood draws per day

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.42 - $17.42/hr.
