Join Big Tommy’s Parthenon’s team! Looking to hire professional restaurant staff. Excellent training provided.

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and organized host or hostess to join our restaurant team. The host or hostess is the first person to interact with guests; the host must be friendly, personable, informative, and professional. The host or hostess is the face of the restaurant and provides guests with their first impressions of the establishment. You must be patient, excel at customer service, and be alert to guests' needs. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include proper seating according to our seating chart
• Great phone etiquette, able to ask proper questions on the phone, and take messages when needed
• Must be well-versed on our POS system, DoorDash, and other food delivery system tablets, as well as the OpenTable tablet
• Greet guests, and if needed, confirm reservations, take reservations, and track the occupancy chart for the space
• Accurately quote wait times to guests
• Escort guests to the table and present food and drink menus
• Assist with waitstaff side work and opening and closing duties
• Take orders over the phone and pack prepared take-out orders

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must have a good presence. You are the first impression of our restaurant and the last impression for our guests entering for the first time and leaving
• Willing to work nights and weekends
• Physically able to wipe down table tops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from the floor; able to carry 25 or more pounds; able to push a vacuum or mop
• Physically able to stand and move during the length of the shift; able to bend and kneel through the shift
• Must pass a background check
• Friendly, polite, and courteous to all guests
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
• Eager to learn and grow with the restaurant
