Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Scrum Master for a contract with a client in Pittsburgh, PA. This role requires hands-on experience running Agile teams and managing ceremonies like daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.


Rate Range: $41/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Scrum Master job responsibilities include:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to ensure team alignment and productivity.
• Maintain and manage the JIRA board, ensuring tasks are up to date and generating reports to track team progress and velocity.
• Support the Agile team by removing impediments, managing dependencies, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices, guiding the team through continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to ensure clear communication of goals, priorities, and deliverables.
• Leverage technical understanding of Core Java to effectively communicate with development teams and support technical discussions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of total experience, with strong hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
• Proven ability to lead Agile teams, manage ceremonies, and maintain JIRA boards and reporting.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with Core Java to effectively support technical teams.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
